10 Encouraging Verses for Weary Parents

Let’s face it, parenting is hard work.

And parenting children with difficult histories can add unique challenges. But what you’re doing every day for your child—caring, teaching, loving—is eternally significant work.

So parents, here are 10 verses for your encouragement—

 

1. In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.

—Psalm 4:8.

2. Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.

—Psalm 46:10

3. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.

—Isaiah 40:29
.

4. But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint.

5. The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
